Peak to PeakJunk Removal

Appliance removal

Fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, stoves and water heaters. We unhook what's safe to unhook, carry it out and get it recycled.

What we take

  • Refrigerators and freezers
  • Washers and dryers
  • Stoves, ranges and dishwashers
  • Water heaters (drained)
  • Window and portable AC units

How it's priced

Most single appliances fall under our single-item price. Refrigerant appliances (fridges, freezers, AC units) add $35 each, because the refrigerant has to be recovered.

Before we arrive

  • Shut off and drain the water heater a day ahead if you can.
  • Empty and defrost fridges and freezers.
  • Water and gas lines: we disconnect simple hookups. Anything hard-plumbed needs a plumber first.

Questions

Where do old appliances go?

Working units go to donation when they'll take them. The rest go to a metal recycler, not the landfill.

Can you take an appliance from the basement?

Yes. Pick the basement option in the quote and the price accounts for it.

How much does refrigerator removal cost?

A single fridge is usually about $129. That's our single-item price plus a $35 fee for the refrigerant recovery that's legally required before it can be recycled.

Will you take an appliance that still works?

Yes. If it's in good shape we try to donate it first.

Do you haul water heaters?

Yes. Drain it a day ahead if you can. Water heaters full of water are very heavy and slower to move.

How it works

  1. Take a photo of the appliance and tell us if it's still hooked up.
  2. See your price and pick a time.
  3. We disconnect simple hookups, carry it out and protect floors on the way.
  4. Working units can be donated. Everything else goes to a metal recycler.

Where it goes

Fridges, freezers and AC units have refrigerant that has to be recovered by a certified technician before the metal can be recycled, which is what the $35 fee covers. Washers, dryers, stoves and water heaters go straight to a metal recycler.

Where we do appliance removal

Based in Lehi and covering about 20 miles around it.
